 is an attending on staff at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills and is also the medical director of the California Thyroid Center. As a vascular and image-guided specialist, he has extensive experience in all facets of minimally invasive image-guided procedures with a special interest in thyroid and tissue ablation. Being double board-certified in Vascular & Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging patients can rest assured that they are receiving the most advanced care and attention to detail.

 has a unique background in not only performing thyroid RFA but also ablation of tumors in the liver, kidney, bone and lung.  This extensive background of treating tumors in more complex organs puts him in a unique position to help patients with thyroid nodules using the same non-surgical ablative method. Compared to other clinicians our image-guided specialist has a unique talent, training and skill in performing ultrasound-guided procedures, a skill-set that is paramount to good results. Our specialist’s background and skills has allowed many patients to undergo the RFA procedures safely with outstanding results, no matter the complexity. As an expert in his field having performed over 7,000 ultrasound-guided treatments, patients receive top care in experts hands.

As a native of San Diego, he earned his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at the University of California, San Diego. After graduating Summa Cum Laude he pursued research in breast cancer after which he earned his Doctorate of Medicine from  the State University of New York. Prior to the start of residency practiced as a general doctor gaining experience with a variety of surgeons in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills. He subsequently completed residency training in New York followed by Fellowship at the prestigious Mallinckrodt Institution at Washington University/Barnes-Jewish Medical Center in Vascular and Interventional Radiology.
